Colm Connaughton is a professional photographer based in the picturesque village of Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan.

Following in the family tradition, Colm has made a career for himself recording life around him through the camera lens. His experience in all aspects of professional photography has resulted the successful, client-oriented business that he owns and operates today.

Colm's took his first steps with a camera in the family business in Tuam, Co. Galway, where his father, now retired, then operated a GP photographic practice.

The urge to expand his horizons resulted in him leaving the family business and taking up the position of staff photographer with one of Ireland leading provincial newspapers, The Anglo-Celt in Co. Cavan.

Having always had the urge to be his own boss, the next step for Colm to open his own business, which he did in 1995.

Over the years Colm has photographed a most varied selection of subjects, for an equally varied number of clients. Everything from the cradle to the grave has been in front of his lens at sometime or another.

Colm is always conscious of the importance of every shot he takes; how, in the future, each shot has the potential to become priceless. As a result, every assignment is given the same attention to detail, whether it is a wedding or a "PR" shot for a newspaper. The goal for either is the same - to have his work admired and valued.

Colm does all the photography for his business and guarantees a personal service.
